Hessa Bint Maktoum sponsors concluding ceremony of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition, 3rd edition
Dubai – UAE, November 16, 2018: After nine busy days and nights of continuous initial and final examinations, curtain were brought down of the third edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition.
The concluding ceremony of the global competition was at held the Cultural and Scientific Association at Al Mamzar area, Dubai, on Friday, November 176, under the sponsorship and in the presence of H.H Sheikh Hessa Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum.
Also present were H.E Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Director General of General Women’s Union, on behalf of H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation.
Their excellencies, dignitaries, senior officials, Quran contestants and their assistants, directors of Quran study centres nationwide, and representatives of Quran competitions all over the country joined the function.
Full Quran Bahraini memoriser Sara Mohamed Abdullah Hasan Husaini, who ranked first in the competition, and Tanzanian full Quran memoriser Ashura Amani Lilanga initiated the program with a beautiful recitation of some verses from the holy Quran.
A documentary movie on the diverse activities of the third edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition was displayed thereafter.
In her speech on behalf of the organising committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, Amina Al Daboos, Executive Director of the Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creativity, warmly welcomed the audience.
“On behalf of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, I would like to welcome you all in this concluding ceremony which coincides with the country’s celebrations of the Year of Zayed (RIP), a great man the entire world loves and respects.”
Few days ago, an official delegate from the organising committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award stood out at the 19th edition of the Moscow International Holy Quran Award which was held under the sponsorship of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award under the name ‘Zayed Edition’, she added.
“This sponsorship is part of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award multi initiatives to mark the Year of Zayed,” she said. “Everything in the Moscow Award was about the late founding father of the UAE Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (RIP), his legacy, white hands, kind gestures, and charitable works worldwide.”
A special documentary movie was played on Sheikh Zayed during the concluding ceremony of the Moscow International Holy Quran Award which saw over 6,000 people from all over Russia’s cities, towns, and villages, she disclosed.
“These activities have also been followed up by millions of people in every nook and corner on a big number of Satellite TVs,” she said. “Everybody gave respect to the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (RIP).”
Al Daboos said the Dubai International Holy Quran Award is honoured to organise the third edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition in a row. “This Quranic festival saw a stiff, yet fair, competition from all full Quran female memorisers from around the world.”
The Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition has become one of the most important activities of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award which are held all the year round, she underlined.
“These include the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Holy Quran Competition, Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Most Beautiful Recitation Competition, National Memoriser Competition, Inmate Quran Competition, along with other branches and programs which are all meant to serve the holy Quran and its memorisers; be they male or female, young or old, citizens or residents.”
The Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition has become a milestone competition for Quran memorisers and teachers all over the globe, she underscored. “They all eagerly await it to secure advanced ranks and lift up high the flags of their countries.”

A big number of full Quran female memorisers from Islamic and Arabic countries and foreign communities around the world have chipped in the competition this year, she stated.
“This reflects the good reputation of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, and that is actually part of the high position of our beloved country under the directives of the prudent leadership led by the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highness Members of the Supreme Council The Rulers of the UAE, who all encourage Quran tight memorisation and perfect recitation.”

Meanwhile, H.E Sheikh Abdulfattah Al Tarouti, Member of the Arbitration Committee, gave a Duaa or supplication to Almighty Allah, following which H.H. Sheikh Hessa Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum greeted all the participants in the third edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition.
Later, she honoured the top 10 winners who in turn included Sara Mohamed Abdullah Hasan Husaini (First), Maimouna Lo, Senegal (Second), Khaoula Azouz, Algeria (Third), , Farhiya Adan Shiek, USA, (1st Fourth), Zahra Rasoul Khalilisamarin, Iran, (2nd Fourth), Noor Mohamed Abdulla Sultan Alhmoudi, UAE, (Sixth), Messoude Toulba, Mauritania, (Seventh), Noura Ahmed Elbassyouni Ibrahim, Egypt, (1st Eighth), Khansaa Hussein Ahmed, Kenya, (2nd Eighth), and Zeinabou Rayahi Moussa, Niger, (Tenth).
