Following the success of the tearaway hit Kuttandan Marpappa, Achicha Films have joined hands once more with producers Haseeb Haneef and Noushad Alathoor for their new venture, titled “GRANDFATHER”. Directed by Aneesh Anwar, the film stars evergreen actor Jayaram in the lead role. Divya Pilla (Oozham, Ayal Njan Alla), Surabhi (Kuttandan Marpapa), and Asha Aravind have been roped to play the female leads, while Anushree of Autorsha fame also plays an important role.
The film boasts of a star cast of Baburaj, Vijayaraghavan, Sharafuddin, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Dileesh Pothen, Sajan Palluruthy, Sunil Suhara, Jaffer Idukki, Mallika Sukumaran, Valsala Menon, and Soubin Shahir. Senthil, who played Kalabhavan Mani in Chalakkudykkaran Changathy which was based on the latter’s life, also plays a part in the movie, which focuses more on comedy. A superstar actor will also make a special guest appearance, which only adds to the glamour and excitement of the movie.
The story and screenplay is by Shani Kader, while Sameer Haq is in charge of the camera. Sahas Bala will be in control of art, while costumes will be under Sunil Rahman. Badhushah will be the production controller, and Vishnu Mohan Sithara will crank up the music. With a star-studded cast and crew, Grandfather will hit the floors from December 12th with a release planned for Vishu 2019, and has all the signs of being a blockbuster.
