Download Aadhaar via WhatsApp
Download Aadhaar Card via WhatsApp – Step by Step Guide
Aadhaar is one of the most important ID proofs in India, required for almost all government services. If you ever need your Aadhaar urgently and don’t have the physical card with you, here’s good news — now you can download it directly through WhatsApp.
The government, through the MyGov Helpdesk Chatbot, has introduced this new feature. Until now, people could only download Aadhaar via the UIDAI portal or DigiLocker. With WhatsApp integration, citizens now have a faster and safer way to access Aadhaar anytime.
What You Need:
Aadhaar-linked mobile number
Active DigiLocker account
Steps to Download Aadhaar on WhatsApp:
Save the number +91-9013151515 on your phone.
Open WhatsApp and send a greeting like “Hi” or “Namaste”.
From the chatbot menu, choose DigiLocker Services.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
Verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile.
The chatbot will display all your DigiLocker documents.
Select Aadhaar from the list.
You’ll instantly receive the Aadhaar PDF on WhatsApp.
Note: Only one document can be downloaded at a time, and only those linked with DigiLocker will be available.
