WETEX 2018 is the ideal platform for green innovations and solutions

Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (DEWA’s) Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2018 is the ideal platform to show the latest solutions and green innovations. WETEX 2018 is being held under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.

It’s a perfect fit for companies, decision-makers, investors, buyers and interested parties from around the world who would meet to make deals, and review the latest solutions, as well as learn about current and future projects.




The 20th WETEX will take place from 23-25 October 2018 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. WETEX coincides with the 3rdDubai Solar Show, which is part of the fifth Green Week.

The exhibition will showcase global green innovations in water, clean and renewable energy, environment, oil and gas fields. It’s a unique platform for green solution suppliers and providers, investors and decision makers, from private and public sectors that helps nurture international interest in green innovations, supports a sustainable environment and the shift into a green economy. This is done by reducing carbon emissions that have a negative impact on our health, environment and development.

“We are organising the exhibition is a realisation of the directives of our wise leadership to promote the sustainable development and the green economy of the UAE, and to achieve the UAE Centennial 2071 objectives of securing a happy future and a better life for future generations, making the United Arab Emirates the best country in the world,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD&CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX.

It will feature a range of activities related to energy and water conservation, environmental protection, green buildings and the latest advanced solutions that aim to reduce carbon emissions, and increase investment opportunities in green innovations,” said Al Tayer.

The United Arab Emirates is witnessing a growing demand for green technology solutions, especially in light of the new laws and the introduction of new standards for electrical devices set by the government, with the advantages being the reduction of the operational costs and of carbon emissions. The exhibition supports the government’s approach by promoting green innovations and solutions.
